Paycheck Stub is an independent calculator for US employees who want a plain estimate of take-home pay. It is not a payroll company, not a CPA firm, and not affiliated with the IRS or any state revenue department.
The federal figures are the 2026 standard deduction, the seven income-tax brackets, the Social Security wage base, and the 401(k) employee deferral limit published by the IRS. State income-tax brackets follow the Tax Foundation's January 2026 compilation of state statutes. Local taxes are called out when they are common, and they are not subtracted.
